Please check periodically for updates. We are in the process of updating this list. Phone numbers are listed for those instructors whose classes are open to the general public.
Looking for a MAVT class? The MAV book and program is created by the MAVT faculty and administered by the MTANJ. The MTANJ does not offer MAVT courses. If you are looking for an MAVT course, contact an MAVT instructor. Please refer to the list of certified instructors available on this website. If you need assistance you may contact the MTANJ.
Is your MAVT card about to expire? To be eligible for a MAVT recertification course, you must take the recertification course within 60 days of your card’s expiration date. If your card expiration date is over 60 days, then you must take the new student MAVT course. Please have your original MAVT ID # available when registering for a recert class, or when retaking a new MAVT class.
Notice to Instructors: Please be sure to download the instructor list and verify that your contact information is correct. The MTANJ makes periodic updates to ensure this list is current. If you are aware of any changes or updates that need to be made please contact the MTA office.
MAVTs must have their valid, unexpired MAVT card with them at all times when working and to confirm certification. A temporary letter is valid for 30 days after the date of issue. If you have any questions, contact the MTANJ office at (732) 719-7229.
Replacement cards are available upon request. Be prepared to provide the following information: full name and MAVT ID# and the name of your employer. In order to complete your request, original signatures for the instructor and student are required. This may be obtained through your MAVT instructor.
